General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks an Urgent Field Support (UFS) Engineer for the Engineering Field Support group.

The role focuses on solving complex fielded system problems by developing troubleshooting, repair, or rework recommendations, and communicating findings to customers and internal teams. Responsibilities include on-call readiness, on-site support, and coordinating with design and maintenance personnel to implement effective corrective actions, while maintaining

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
Two or more years of engineering experience with a bachelor's degree (may substitute equivalent experience).
Proficient technical writing and strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Be able to work a rotating, periodic on-call schedule for off-hour and weekend support.
Support Operations Center activities including shift coverage during planned working hours.
Obtain and maintain technical system-level knowledge of GA-ASI aircraft, ground control stations, and related hardware.
Direct investigations of anomalies, determine root cause, and implement corrective actions.
Interface with engineers, technicians, pilots, and staff to coordinate workarounds, software updates, or hardware modifications.
Author engineering memorandums and presentations for anomaly investigations to customers and leadership.
