Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks an engineer to join the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) team supporting unmanned aircraft systems. You will help develop and sustain GSE products, collaborating with design, manufacturing, and test personnel to ensure proper integration and operation.

Responsibilities include analysis, CAD design, GD&T application, and documentation in support of engineering programs, with opportunities for travel to GA-ASI facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or related field and 2+ years of engineering experience.
• Must understand engineering concepts and apply them safely and compliantly.
• Able to communicate clearly and work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support operation of GSE engineering products and systems by analyzing and resolving engineering problems of moderate scope.
• Conceptualize and develop GSE designs to meet requirements using 3D CAD.
• Conduct structural/load analyses and design documentation per AS9100 controls.
• Develop engineering drawings, memos, specs, test procedures, and reports.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, Safety, and Flight Operations to support parts and assemblies.
• Travel to GA-ASI facilities as needed to support product development/testing.
