Job summary

River Oaks Homecare in Phoenixville, PA, is seeking dedicated Caregivers to join our brand-new residential home. We offer 12-hour daily shifts (3-4 days a week) in a calm, home-like setting where residents’ comfort and dignity come first.

As a caregiver, you will assist with personal hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, light housekeeping, health monitoring, and companionship, using patient, respectful communication. Prior CNA or HHA experience is a plus; CPR/First Aid training is available.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and eligible to work in the US.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (we can help you get it).
• Prior caregiving, CNA, or HHA residential experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized daily support with personal hygiene, dressing and grooming.
• Create sensory-friendly environments and structured living space.
• Provide behavioral and emotional support and positive redirection.
• Prepare healthy meals and snacks tailored to dietary needs.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain a safe home environment.
• Provide community engagement and companionship, including driving to events and appointments.
• Monitor health and medications, and report changes to ensure high-quality care.

The Schedule: We are currently hiring for 12-hour daily shifts (3-4 days a week). This is perfect for those who want a consistent, stable routine in a beautiful residential setting rather than traveling between multiple client homes.

What You Will Be Doing

• Provide Personalized Daily Support: Assist residents with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their comfort and dignity are always a priority.
• Create Sensory-Friendly Environments: Implement routines that support individuals with unique sensory processing needs, ensuring a calm and structured living space.
• Behavioral & Emotional Support: Use patient, positive redirection, and communication techniques to support residents through various behavioral challenges and emotional regulation.
• Meal Preparation & Nutrition: Prepare healthy meals and snacks tailored to specific dietary requirements or textures, assisting with feeding as needed.
• Light Housekeeping & Organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment to reduce overstimulation and ensure safety.
• Community & Companionship: Foster a supportive atmosphere through engaging activities, errands, and social interaction that honors each resident’s unique personality. Driving the residents in a company-provided vehicle to community events and doctor's appointments
• Health Advocacy: Provide vital medication reminders and closely monitor health or behavioral changes to ensure the highest quality of care.

What We’re Looking For

• Heart for Service: Compassionate, respectful, and ethical.
• Experience: Previous caregiving, CNA, or HHA residential experience is a plus.
• Skills: Basic cooking and housekeeping knowledge.
• Essentials: Must be 18+ and eligible to work in the US. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred (but we can help you get it!).
