Job summary

CareSpot in Florida is seeking an X Ray Tech to prepare patients for radiologic procedures and perform X-ray exams in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

You will uphold ALARA standards, log exams, and support clinicians. A high school diploma and Radiologic Technologist license or RT Basic Machine Operator credential are required, with BLS certification. Healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and one of the following licenses: Radiologic Technologist license or RT Basic Machine Operator.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in healthcare settings (ED, urgent care or ambulatory clinic) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and performing x rays within scope of practice.
• Practicing patient shielding and ALARA standards.
• Maintaining accurate log of exams and documenting LMP and shielding.
• Verifying condition of network and x ray server.
• Cleaning cassettes, table and chest board after each procedure.
• Performing front and back office duties including collecting payments for services.
