Mission Pet Health in Charleston, SC is expanding its PawMed Veterinary Urgent Care team. As an Urgent Care Veterinary Assistant you will support veterinarians and technicians in fast-paced, time-sensitive cases, delivering compassionate care to small animals.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of veterinary experience, with ER or high-volume experience preferred.
• Ability to stay calm, composed, and efficient during a medical crisis.
• Confidence and skill in handling pets, with basic lab, pharmacy, and nursing skills.
• Strong communication and ability to work in a fast-paced team.
• Flexible schedule with evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Be a Critical Support in Urgent Situations: assist veterinarians and technicians with hands-on patient care.
• Ensure a Seamless Workflow During a Crisis: maintain composure and efficiency.
• Provide a Calming Presence for Clients: assist with check-ins, payments, and communications.
• Maintain High Standards Under Pressure: accurate record-keeping and a clean, safe environment.
