Job summary

PawMed Veterinary Urgent Care, Charleston, SC, is hiring an Urgent Care Veterinary Assistant to join a fast-paced team. You will support veterinarians and technicians in urgent cases, help manage workflows, and communicate effectively with clients.

A minimum of 1 year in veterinary care is required, with ER or high-volume experience preferred. Compensation is competitive, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life and disability insurance, EAP, and access to Teladoc.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of veterinary experience.
• ER or high-volume experience preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Be a critical support in urgent situations, assisting veterinarians and technicians with patient care.
• Ensure a seamless workflow during a crisis and maintain clinic operations.
• Provide a calming presence for clients, assist with check-ins, payments, and communication.
• Maintain high standards by keeping accurate records and a clean, safe environment.
