American Veterinary Group is seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian for our UrgentVet Hospitals in Fort Myers. The role involves after-hours urgent cases from canine and feline patients with a focus on efficient, paperless care using cloud EMR, digital x-ray, and IDEXX in-house labs.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD from AVMA-accredited college.
• Current active license to practice in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach
• Collaborate with the clinical team and leadership
• Grow relationships within the Fort Myers community
• Encourage the growth of staff through internal LevelUp training
• Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and visits during open hours

Description

UrgentVet bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care in the Fort Myers area. We offer after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our single-doctor shifts offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Skills Knowledge, and Expertise

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited college (or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program)
• Active license in good standing to practice in the state in which candidate will be employed (or the ability to obtain a license in that state)
