UrgentVet Hospitals in Westchase, FL is seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian to join our full-time team. This role focuses on after-hours care for dogs and cats, with single-doctor shifts and a relationship-based approach.

You’ll work with a strong technical team in a modern, paperless clinic equipped with cloud EMR, digital x-ray, and IDEXX in-house labs. A DVM degree and current Florida license are required, with opportunities for mentorship and professional development.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD from AVMA-accredited college (or ECFVG/PAVE).
• Active license in good standing to practice in Florida (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach.
• Collaborate with clinical team and leadership.
• Grow relationships within the practice and the Tampa community.
• Encourage growth of support staff through LevelUp training program.
• Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments during open hours.

Description

UrgentVet bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care in the Westchase, FL area. We offer after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our single-doctor shifts offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.
