Job summary

UCHealth University of Colorado Health seeks an on-site urgent care professional to provide emergent/urgent patient care under physician, PA, NP, or RN supervision in Thornton. The role supports patient throughput, prepares patients for exams, and assists throughout. Requires BLS, IV proficiency within 6 months, and applicable licensure (CMA/RMA/LPN/EMT).

On-site only, full-time schedule with shift days. Pay ranges from $21.49 to $27.94 per hour, dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum Required Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Required Licensure/Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider. IV proficiency within 6 months per department guidelines. One of CMA; RMA; State licensure as EMT/EMT-I/Paramedic; military medic completion; LPN.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate flow of patients in the department to optimize throughput and inform patients of delays.
• Observe patients and notify provider or RN if distress is evident.
• Prepare patients to see the provider; assist before, during, and after examination.
• Inserts Foley catheters, performs complex splinting, and venipuncture for blood draws or saline lock.
• Maintain exam and treatment rooms; clean equipment and manage supplies as directed.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and decisive action.
