Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Chelsea, MA is seeking a Per Diem Day shift clinical laboratory professional. The role performs start-up, maintenance and troubleshooting of instruments, documents QC and enters data into the LIS, and communicates results to the clinical team.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associate degree required.
• BLS certification required.
• 1-3 years related work experience.
• Experience with computer systems including MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform start-up, maintenance and troubleshooting of instruments per lab protocols and CAP requirements.
• Communicate lab results to clinical team and document data in LIS.
• Prepare specimens and perform moderately complex laboratory tests with automated equipment.
• Maintain continuing education and competencies; run CAP Proficiency Testing samples.
