Qualifications

• Minimum Associate degree required.
• BLS certification required.
• 1–3 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Performs start-up, maintenance and troubleshooting on instruments and laboratory equipment per established laboratory protocols and CAP regulatory requirements.
• Communicates lab results to clinical team and maintains documentation in LIS.
• Prepares specimens and performs moderately complex laboratory tests.
• Keeps current with mandatory continuing training and education for clinical and laboratory work; maintains ongoing competencies.
• Performs patient care duties including vitals, EKGs, wound care, phlebotomy and specimen collection as needed.
• Maintains adequate supply inventory and restocks supplies in the clinical setting.
• Monitors environment of care and communicates delays; works with Attending Physician to provide efficient patient care.
