Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a dedicated Scribe to accurately document patient visits in the EMR and assist physicians in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will help manage patient flow, support DOH-compliant lab processes, and uphold excellent customer service.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, strong attention to detail, and flexibility to work weekends. Bilingual skills and BLS are a plus; this role offers hands-on exposure to healthcare and resume-building opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED (undergraduate degree a plus).
• Friendly and professional with excellent bedside manner.
• Flexible with full-time work schedule including a weekend day.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• English language skills required (speaking and writing).
• BLS certification required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Capture accurate documentation of patient visits in the EMR promptly.
• Assist physician with basic patient care and medical procedures.
• Assist site management with patient flow, inventory, and lab follow-up.
• Ensure site lab DOH compliance and proper record-keeping.
• Provide compassionate, high-quality customer service while managing high patient volumes.
