Carilion Clinic VelocityCare in Salem, VA seeks a full-time RN to provide high-quality patient care in an urgent care setting during daytime hours. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care, collaboration with the care team, and documentation in the EMR.

Successful candidates will have a Virginia RN license and at least 1 year of clinical experience with leadership capabilities, plus BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required depending on area.

Formación

• Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience with demonstrated leadership ability.
• Current RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• AHA BLS-HCP required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required based on area.

Responsabilidades

• Delivers high-quality patient care and customer service with empathy and respect.
• Coordinates and delivers individualized patient care across all ages.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Completes and documents age-specific assessments to support care plans.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans.
• Administers treatments and medications and documents in EMR.
• Identifies education needs and includes them in care plans.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives and quality outcomes.
• Advocates for patients and supports their rights and psychosocial needs.
• Applies growth and development knowledge for age-appropriate care.
• Uses clinical expertise in dynamic environments and improves outcomes and throughput.
• Serves as a role model and supports staff development.
• Manages resources, prioritizes tasks, and adapts to changing needs.
• Supports orientation and training of new employees.
• Uses problem-solving to address care and operational challenges.
• Provides feedback and fosters collaboration.
• Participates in unit, hospital, and system initiatives.
