Job summary

Carilion Clinic is seeking a Practice RN for Salem VelocityCare in Salem, VA. This full-time position involves day shifts, open 8am–8pm, with annual compensation in the listed range. The RN provides direct patient care, assessment, planning, and collaboration with the healthcare team in an urgent care setting.

Eligible candidates have a Virginia RN license, BLS, and at least 1 year of clinical experience. Travel between VelocityCare sites is required for staffing as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience required with demonstrated clinical and leadership expertise required.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. For Behavioral Health roles, de-escalation training must be completed within the required timeframe.
• AHA BLS-HCP required. ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area.
• Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation.

How You'll Help Transform Healthcare: The RN Velocity Care provides patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, collaborates with the healthcare team, and supports development of individualized care plans in an urgent care setting.

Practice is open Sunday through Saturday 8 am to 8 pm. Successful candidate must be able to work any day of the week during practice hours of operation.

All VelocityCare staff are required to float to other VelocityCare locations to assist with staffing.

What We Require:

Compensation Range:

Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
