Carilion Clinic’s VelocityCare in Salem is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will assess and plan individualized care, document in EMR, and collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required: Virginia RN license, 1 year clinical experience, BLS-HCP; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be needed depending on unit. Willingness to float between VelocityCare locations as needed.
The RN Velocity Care provides patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, collaborates with the healthcare team, and supports development of individualized care plans in an urgent care setting. Practice is open Sunday through Saturday 8 am to 8 pm. Successful candidate must be able to work any day of the week during practice hours of operation. All VelocityCare staff are required to float to other VelocityCare locations to assist with staffing. The RN Velocity Care Delivers high-quality patient care and customer service while demonstrating respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in all interactions. Assumes accountability for coordination and delivery of individualized patient care across all age groups. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes. Completes and documents age-specific assessments to support development of care plans. Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans. Administers treatments and medications accurately and documents care in electronic medical records. Identifies and addresses patient and family education needs and incorporates them into care plans. Participates in performance improvement initiatives and quality outcomes. Advocates for patients and supports their rights and psychosocial needs.
$30.47 - $45.71. Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
