Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Radiologic Technician for the 02190 GCMG Urgent Care: University - Immediate Care in Charlotte, NC. This full-time role requires performing basic radiologic exams and venipuncture while upholding radiation safety practices to ensure high-quality examinations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program completed.
• Current ARRT registry or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic exams as ordered by physician.
• Follows department SOPs for routine exams.
• Checks requisitions for notes and special instructions.
• Consults with Radiologist or physician as needed.
• Selects proper technical factors for each patient.
• Operates equipment per exam requirements.
• Maintains patient records.
• Obtains specimens and performs certain laboratory tests as ordered.
• Prepares specimens for transport to labs.
