Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diverse radiographic procedures under supervision, while supporting EKG and phlebotomy tasks. The role emphasizes patient-centered care for pediatric to geriatric populations and adherence to safety, privacy, and quality standards.

You will operate imaging equipment, transfer studies to PACS, and participate in training and QA. Travel and weekend coverage may be required as part of department needs.

Qualifications

• Completion of AMA-approved accredited radiologic technology program.
• Maintains a current Rhode Island license to work.
• ARRT certification is required.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Follows Urgent Care workflow protocols to maximize quality and efficiency.
• Communicates clearly with patients about radiologic exams, EKGs, and phlebotomy.
• Ensures patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with policies.
• Performs radiographic exams with correct positioning and technical factors.
• Transfers images to PACS for physician review and documentation.
• Maintains equipment safety, quality control, and environmental standards.
• Operates EKG leads and records tracings; ensures proper labeling in the medical record.
• Provides department coverage, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Trains new Urgent Care Radiology Technologists and participates in QA procedures.
