Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic procedures and related duties in the Urgent Care setting. You will assist with EKGs and phlebotomy, ensure patient privacy, and support safe, efficient exams across pediatric to geriatric populations.

Use of PACS for image transfer, room setup, and equipment maintenance is required, with opportunities to mentor new staff and cover flexible shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA-approved radiologic technology program or equivalent.
• Current Rhode Island license to work in the state.
• ARRT certification required.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification.
• Experience serving pediatric to geriatric patients with sensitivity.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic exams with appropriate positioning and technique.
• Protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality per policy.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation.
• Transfer images to PACS for physician review and archiving.
• Set up rooms, prepare equipment, and maintain supplies.
• Take part in EKGs and phlebotomy as needed.
• Provide coverage for shifts including weekends/holidays as required.
• Assist in training new Urgent Care Radiology Technologists.
