CoxHealth is seeking a Registration Specialist II to assist patients at the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits in a fast-paced healthcare setting. You will collect demographic and insurance information and manage patient financial obligations at the time of service.

The role emphasizes professional, friendly interactions with patients and staff, with possible travel between CoxHealth sites and occasional extended hours based on department needs.

Job Description

The Registration Specialist is responsible for assisting patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits as well as completing financial clearance functions. This individual completes registration for scheduled and unscheduled visits by collecting accurate demographic information, insurance information, and handling patient financial obligation at the time of service. This individual is also responsible for financial clearance functions on assigned scheduled accounts during registration downtimes. The Registration Specialist II greets and serves patients and internal team members in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner to promote positive encounters. Some travel from site to site, as well as extended hours may be required of a Registration Specialist II based on business needs of the department.

Education

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Preferred: At least 1-2 years prior registration experience
