Job summary

IU Health Medical Group in Bloomington, IN is seeking an Urgent Care Physician to provide care across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. The role includes urgent care and occupational medicine, with on-site lab and radiology support to enhance diagnostic efficiency.

The position offers leadership opportunities, limited shifts per month for a strong work-life balance, and a comprehensive benefits package. Board eligibility/certification in EM, IM, or FM is required or preferred.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required.
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine.
• Urgent care and/or occupational medicine experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care to Pediatric, Adult and Geriatric populations.
• Deliver Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine services including injuries, minor procedures, workers' compensation, DOT and sports physicals.
• Ensure appropriateness, quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of medical care by physicians and APPs.
• Work 11 clinical shifts per month, plus 1 weekend shift per month and holiday rotation.

Position Details:

• Provide clinical care to Pediatric, Adult and Geriatric population
• Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine including injury and illness care, minor procedures, workers' compensation, DOT and sports physicals
• Responsible for appropriateness, quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the medical care provided by our physicians and advanced practice providers
• 11 clinical shifts per month within our Urgent Care practice, 1 weekend shift per month and holiday rotation

Qualifications:

• Must be MD or DO
• BC in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Emergency medicine and/or urgent care experience preferred, but not required
• Occupational medicine experience preferred, but not required
