Job summary

Overlake Medical Center and Clinics in Newcastle is seeking a part-time Patient Services Representative for our Urgent Care location. The role supports patient check-in and front office duties with a focus on accurate data entry and seamless service.

You will manage communications among staff, patients and providers, and handle records in the Epic EMR system while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of administrative experience in a medical facility preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Excellent telephone etiquette.
• Demonstrated strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with people in stressful situations.
• Ability to multi-task, be organized and detail oriented.
• Demonstrated proficient computer keyboard skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer and front office services to patients for Primary Care and Urgent Care at the Newcastle clinic.
• Coordinate communications among staff, patients, and providers about patient check-in process.
• Collect records and ensure distribution via the Epic EMR system.
• Perform clerical, scheduling and records activities in support of patients and staff.
