WellNow Urgent Care is hiring a Patient Care Technician to support front-end and clinical operations. You will take patient histories, monitor vital signs, assist with exams, and help with point-of-care testing.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, HIPAA compliance, and efficient patient flow in a busy urgent care environment. Responsibilities include phlebotomy if certified, registering patients, and coordinating records for ancillary care.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role.
• Preferred Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine, and/or Phlebotomy experience.
• Ability to register patients and use EMR systems.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and obtain vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy for lab samples when certified.
• Complete lab paperwork and input data in EMR.
• Conduct point-of-care tests (strep, glucose, influenza, etc.).
• Coordinate records for ancillary care.
• Assist providers with exams and testing.
• Maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA).
• Ensure clean, stocked examination rooms and functioning equipment.
