Job summary

WellNow Urgent Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support front-end and clinical operations, ensuring efficient patient flow and quality care. You will collect histories, vital signs, and assist with exams in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy if certified, completing lab paperwork, and performing point-of-care tests while maintaining HIPAA compliance and a clean, organized environment. Experience in urgent care or occupational medicine is preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role.
• Preferred experience in Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine, and/or Phlebotomy.
• Strong communication and patient service skills.
• Proficient with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• CPR certification is required or maintained.

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and obtain vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy for lab samples if certified.
• Complete lab paperwork and enter results in EMR.
• Perform point-of-care tests (strep, flu, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers with exams and testing.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and clean exam rooms.
• Ensure equipment is functional and supplies are stocked.
