Job summary

NextCare is seeking a Part-Time Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner to join our urgent care team in Tucson, AZ. The role offers a patient‑centered environment with 12‑hour shifts, weekend coverage, and a starting hourly rate of $60–$80 based on experience.

You'll see patients of all ages in a fast-paced clinic, perform urgent care procedures, interpret tests, and collaborate with a supportive clinical team. A DEA license and AZ NP/PA licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Arizona license for NP or PA.
• Board certification or eligibility: NCCPA for PA or ANCC/AANP for NP (FNP).
• Active DEA license or ability to obtain.
• Active BLS certification.
• Willingness to work weekends/holidays.
• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting.
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging.
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management (as applicable).
• Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR.
• Code and bill services appropriately.
• Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks.
• Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values.
