Job summary

BestMed Clinics in Yakima, WA, is seeking Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join our urgent care and occupational medicine team. You will provide outpatient care in a fast-paced setting, collaborating with experienced clinicians.

• Current, unrestricted WA NP/PA license or ability to obtain
• DEA licensure
• Knowledge of treatment and drug interactions

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient care in an urgent care setting
• Deliver care, treatment, and referrals as needed
• Arrange referrals for non-provided specialties
• Perform physical examinations and establish a diagnosis and plan
• Execute clinical procedures within scope
• Explain diagnoses and treatment goals to patients
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR
• Provide occupational and telemedicine patient care
• Conduct lab and x-ray review as needed
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by Medical Director

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care on an outpatient basis to include procedures normally performed in an urgent care setting
• Responsible for the delivery of care, treatment, and referrals.
• Arrange for referral resources for those medical specialties not provided by the organization for patients of the clinic
• Evaluate patients to determine the medical condition of the patient, through the performance of physical examinations, thereby, establishing a diagnosis and proposed treatment plan
• Perform such clinical procedures for patient's benefit which are within scope and skill of practitioner
• Communicate information to patients regarding diagnosis and treatment goals
• Maintains accurate, complete, concise, and timely documentation with a focus on proper level coding and clinical documentation integrity (CDI) in the electronic medical record
• Ability to perform occupational and telemedicine patient care
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as lab and x-ray review
• Perform other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Medical Director

What’s Required:

• Current, unrestricted PA or NP license in the state or the ability to obtain
• DEA licensure
• Knowledge of treatment and drug interactions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation: Pay is based on experience, skills and falls within an established range.
