Job summary

BestMed Clinics, part of Community Care Partners, seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care and occupational medicine team in Richland, WA. You will deliver outpatient care with a patient-first approach in a well-supported network with modern facilities and leadership that values your voice.

Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted PA or NP license in the state.
  • DEA licensure.
  • Knowledge of treatment and drug interactions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient patient care in urgent care setting with procedures typical for urgent care.
  • Deliver care, treatment, and referrals.
  • Arrange referrals for specialties not provided by the organization.
  • Evaluate patients with physical examinations to establish diagnosis and treatment plan.
  • Perform clinical procedures within scope of practice.
  • Explain diagnosis and treatment goals to patients.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EMR with proper coding.
  • Provide occupational and telemedicine patient care.
  • Perform lab and X-ray review as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Medical Director.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care on an outpatient basis to include procedures normally performed in an urgent care setting
  • Responsible for the delivery of care, treatment, and referrals.
  • Arrange for referral resources for those medical specialties not provided by the organization for patients of the clinic
  • Evaluate patients to determine the medical condition of the patient, through the performance of physical examinations, thereby, establishing a diagnosis and proposed treatment plan
  • Perform such clinical procedures for patient's benefit which are within scope and skill of practitioner
  • Communicate information to patients regarding diagnosis and treatment goals
  • Maintains accurate, complete, concise, and timely documentation with a focus on proper level coding and clinical documentation integrity (CDI) in the electronic medical record
  • Ability to perform occupational and telemedicine patient care
  • Perform non-patient facing duties as such as lab and x-ray review
  • Perform other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Medical Director

What’s Required:

  • Current, unrestricted PA or NP license in the state or the ability to obtain
  • DEA licensure
  • Knowledge of treatment and drug interactions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation: Pay is based on experience, skills and falls within an established range.
