SouthStar Clinics in Slidell, LA seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care and occupational medicine team. Provide outpatient care with a focus on quality and patient-centered service in a well-established network.

You’ll be supported by experienced clinical teams, modern facilities, and comprehensive benefits including CME allowance, PTO, malpractice coverage, 401(k) with matching, and employee discounts. LA license preferred.

Formación

• Current, unrestricted PA or NP license in the state
• DOT certification within 60 days of hire
• DEA licensure
• Knowledge of treatment and drug interactions

Responsabilidades

• Provide outpatient care on an urgent care basis.
• Deliver care, treatment, and referrals.
• Arrange referrals for non-provided specialties.
• Evaluate patients to diagnose and plan treatment.
• Perform clinical procedures within scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate documentation with proper coding in EMR.
• Perform occupational and telemedicine patient care.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as lab and x-ray review.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care on an outpatient basis to include procedures normally performed in an urgent care setting
• Responsible for the delivery of care, treatment, and referrals.
• Arrange for referral resources for those medical specialties not provided by the organization for patients of the clinic
• Evaluate patients to determine the medical condition of the patient, through the performance of physical examinations, thereby, establishing a diagnosis and proposed treatment plan
• Perform such clinical procedures for patient's benefit which are within scope and skill of practitioner
• Communicate information to patients regarding diagnosis and treatment goals
• Maintains accurate, complete, concise, and timely documentation with a focus on proper level coding and clinical documentation integrity (CDI) in the electronic medical record
• Ability to perform occupational and telemedicine patient care
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as lab and x-ray review
• Perform other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Medical Director

What’s Required:

• Current, unrestricted PA or NP license in thestateor the ability to obtain
• Ability to obtain:
  • DOT certification within60 daysof hire
  • DEA licensure
• Knowledge of treatment and drug interactions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation:

Pay is based on experience, skills and falls within an established range.
