SouthStar Urgent Care in Eunice, LA, invites Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join a growing urgent care and occupational medicine team. You will provide outpatient care, perform procedures, and coordinate referrals to ensure timely, quality patient outcomes.

The role requires NP or PA licensure, DEA licensure, and readiness for DOT certification. You will work with experienced clinicians in a supportive environment that values your voice and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted PA or NP license in the state or ability to obtain
• DEA licensure required
• DOT certification within 60 days of hire desired

Responsabilités

• Provide outpatient care in an urgent care setting
• Deliver care, treatment and referrals as needed
• Coordinate referrals for specialties not in-house
• Conduct physical exams and establish diagnosis and treatment plan
• Perform clinical procedures within scope
• Communicate diagnosis and treatment goals to patients
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EMR
• Support occupational and telemedicine patient care
• Perform non-patient facing duties like lab and X-ray review
• Take on other duties as assigned by Medical Director

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care on an outpatient basis to include procedures normally performed in an urgent care setting
• Responsible for the delivery of care, treatment, and referrals.
• Arrange for referral resources for those medical specialties not provided by the organization for patients of the clinic
• Evaluate patients to determine the medical condition of the patient, through the performance of physical examinations, thereby, establishing a diagnosis and proposed treatment plan
• Perform such clinical procedures for patient’s benefit which are within scope and skill of practitioner
• Communicate information to patients regarding diagnosis and treatment goals
• Maintains accurate, complete, concise, and timely documentation with a focus on proper level coding and clinical documentation integrity (CDI) in the electronic medical record
• Ability to perform occupational and telemedicine patient care
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as lab and x-ray review
• Perform other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Medical Director

What’s Required:

• Current, unrestricted PA or NP license in the state or the ability to obtain
• Ability to obtain:DOT certification within 60 days of hire
• DEA licensure
• Knowledge of treatment and drug interactions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation:

Pay is based on experience, skills and falls within an established range.
