Job summary

American Family Care Omaha is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our urgent care team. You will provide general nursing care within the urgent care scope of practice, assist physicians, and ensure efficient patient flow.

Responsibilities include triage, directing patients to examination rooms, collecting specimens, performing wound care and EKGs, and maintaining established protocols. A strong communicator with teamwork and independent work ability is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years post-graduation as a licensed RN.
• At least 1 year as an RN in an Emergency Department.
• Current CPR certification.
• Understanding of HIPAA and OSHA requirements.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform triage of newly registered patients.
• Direct patients to examination rooms and prep rooms per initial complaint.
• Collect specimens and perform testing when requested.
• Perform wound care and EKGs as indicated.
• Assist physician with patient care and follow protocols.
• Other duties as assigned.
