Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care, part of Hartford HealthCare, seeks experienced Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners for urgent care positions in Connecticut. Responsibilities include managing acute conditions, collaborating with teams, and delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Required credentials include PA or NP degree, state licensure, and emergency/urgent care experience. Strong clinical skills, patient communication, and a commitment to excellent service are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required for Physician Assistants.
• Master's Degree required for Nurse Practitioners.
• National Certification.
• Active state medical licensure.
• 1 year of Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care experience.
• Experience treating patients aged 6 months and up.
• Suturing, splinting, casting experience preferred.
• Preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat patients.
• Take patients’ medical histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and X-rays.
• Make diagnoses and prescribe medications.
• Treat minor injuries requiring sutures, splints, or casting.
• Record progress notes for follow-up patients.
• Educate and counsel patients.
• Order and carry out therapy and vaccinations; refer as needed.
• Work an eight or twelve-hour shift as assigned.
