Job summary

Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking experienced Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners to join our urgent care team in the Connecticut region. The role focuses on adult and pediatric patients with high-acuity needs, in a patient-centered, fast-paced setting.

Competitive total compensation, sign-on bonus up to $13,500, and comprehensive benefits are offered. Day shift hours with shift differentials for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required for Physician Assistants.
• Master's degree required for Nurse Practitioners.
• 1 year of Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care experience; 2 years Family Medicine acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Examining and treating patients.
• Taking patients' medical histories.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-rays.
• Making diagnoses and prescribing medications.
• Treating minor injuries with sutures, splints, or casting.
• Recording progress notes for follow-up patients.
• Educating and counseling patients.
• Ordering and/or carrying out therapy with patients.
• Giving vaccinations and referrals.
• Work eight or twelve hours per shift as assigned.
