Job summary

NextCare Avondale is hiring a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our urgent care team. Located in Avondale, AZ, shifts are three 12-hour days per week, with clinic hours 8:00 AM–8:00 PM across seven days.

You will evaluate and treat patients of all ages, manage acute illnesses, order tests, perform urgent care procedures, and document clearly in the EHR.

We offer strong clinical support, mentorship, schedule flexibility, and competitive pay of $60–$80/hour plus bonus.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted AZ license for NP | PA.
• Board certification or eligibility (NCCPA / ANCC / AANP).
• PA: NCCPA certification.
• NP: ANCC or AANP certification (FNP required).
• Active DEA license (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to treat patients of all ages.
• Active BLS certification.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays.
• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in urgent care.
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging.
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management.
• Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR.
• Code and bill services appropriately.
• Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks.
• Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values.
