Job summary

NextCare in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Full-Time clinician (NP/PA) to join our urgent care team. This role offers three 12-hour shifts per week within a fast-paced, well-supported clinic, with hours 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM and seven days a week.

You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages, perform urgent care procedures, order studies, and document care in the EHR. A board-certified or eligible NP/PA with AZ license and DEA is required; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted AZ license for NP or PA.
• Board certification or eligibility (NCCPA for PA; ANCC/AANP for NP).
• Active DEA license or ability to obtain.
• Ability to treat patients of all ages.
• Active BLS certification.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in urgent care.
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies including labs and imaging.
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound care.
• Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR.
• Code and bill services; maintain productivity.
• Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values.
