Job summary

Piedmont Urgent Care seeks licensed Family Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care across adult and pediatric populations in a busy urgent care setting.

Qualifications

• Current and valid license to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or FNP-BC) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) in Georgia.
• Advanced degree from an accredited NP/PA program.
• Current DEA registration.
• Experience with suturing and drainage of abscesses.
• Experience reading X-rays and EKGs.
• BLS certification (provided if needed).
• Credentialing eligibility per WellStreet Urgent Care.
• Urgent care, family medicine or emergency medicine experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, evaluate, and implement high-quality medical care with appropriate resource management for adults and children.
• Deliver service with a focus on patient satisfaction and courtesy.
• Provide patient care per policies and procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Serve as a resource for patients, families, and staff.
• Document services rendered and communicate for appropriate reimbursement.
• Complete necessary documentation and ensure effective care coordination.
• Participate in meetings and operational activities for the urgent care.
• Maintain certifications (BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS or NALS) and ongoing specialty training as required.
