Job summary

Prisma Health Urgent Care in Columbia, SC seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to deliver high-quality urgent care to adults and children in a on-site setting. Work with center physicians to evaluate and treat patients while maintaining top patient satisfaction.

The role offers a flexible three-day, 12-hour schedule for full-time status, with a comprehensive benefits package, malpractice coverage, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Board Certified (or Board Eligible) and licensed to practice medicine in the state of practice.
• Advanced degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program of study.
• Licensed Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in accordance with the state of South Carolina.
• Current DEA registration.
• Must be DOT certified.
• Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses.
• Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs.
• BLS certification (we will provide this if needed).
• Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by WellStreet Urgent Care.
• Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, evaluate, and implement high quality medical care with appropriate resource management to adult and pediatric patients in cooperation with center physicians.
• Deliver the service and courtesy standard of Prisma Health Urgent Care to maximize patient satisfaction.
• Provide patient care within the clinical area per bylaws, rules and center policies.
• Serve as a resource for patient/family and staff and maintain accurate records.
• Complete necessary documentation and ensure communication to facilitate patient care and reimbursement.
• Participate in meetings/activities to support urgent care operations.
