Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health Urgent Care in Massachusetts is seeking a full-time Advanced Practitioner (NP/PA) to join our urgent care team. Under the supervision of a collaborating physician, you will provide preventative care and manage acute and chronic illnesses, developing treatment plans and consulting as needed.

The successful candidate will have a Master’s in Nursing or a Physician Assistant program, MA NP/PA license, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Nursing or PA program required.
• Certification and current NP/PA license to practice in Massachusetts required.
• DEA MCSR required.

Responsibilities

• Performs thorough physical examinations and collects complete history.
• Maintains patient records and documents care provided and statistics.
• Evaluates data to determine preliminary diagnoses and plan therapeutic care.
• Administers medications and injections per state law and employer guidelines.
• Obtains specimens for lab analysis and schedules diagnostic tests.
• Provides medication instructions to patients and families; advocates for patient care.
