Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a part-time Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) for our Urgent Care clinic. Under a collaborating physician, you will provide preventive care and assess acute and chronic illnesses.

Responsibilities include thorough physical exams, documenting patient records, formulating treatment plans, administering medications, obtaining specimens, and guiding patients and families.

MA NP/PA license with DEA and MCSR is required. Pay ranges from $54.70 to $74.40 per hour.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Nursing (MSN) or PA program.
• Active NP/PA license to practice in Massachusetts with DEA.
• Massachusetts MCSR (controlled substances) certification.

• Maintains patient record and relevant statistics by documenting patient information and care provided
• Evaluates/interprets data in an effort to ascertain preliminary diagnoses and to make therapeutic plan recommendations
• Administers medication and injections in compliance with state law and employer guidelines
• Obtains specimens for lab analysis, schedules and prepares patients for diagnostic testing.
• Provides instructions to patient, family and care providers relative to required medications, acts as a care advocate in providing recommendations

Under the general direction of a collaborating primary care physician, responsible for providing preventative patient care in addition to assessing acute and chronic patient illnesses,planningand providing treatment programs and seeking consultation orreferralas necessary.

Experience:

The successful candidate will have received some formal training in suturing and be comfortable practicing in a fast-paced urgent care setting.Individualmust be dedicated to the delivery of outstanding care and customer service to patients and their families; have excellent interpersonal skills andhave the ability tofunction autonomously in the care of challenging patients. Experience as an NP in urgent care or another type of emergency care isideal, butnotrequired.

Pay Range:

$54.70 - $74.40

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geographyof work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
