Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, coordinate care, and help create a positive healthcare experience every day.

Hours are M-F 8am-8pm and Sat/Sun 8am-4pm with shift differentials. Qualifications include MA program/externship/internship, EMT/Paramedic or CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA etc., and CPR certification; 0-1 year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited MA program and externship/internship.
• EMT/Paramedic training or Certified Athletic Trainer.
• Current/active MA certification preferred.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories and vital signs.
• Assist with exams and procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers and support care coordination.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
