Job summary

Corewell Health Urgent Care is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support urgent care providers in the Detroit Metropolitan Area. You will greet and room patients, take vital signs and histories, prepare exam rooms, and assist with basic clinical procedures.

You will also manage medical records, handle scheduling and patient information updates, and help maintain a smooth patient flow while upholding infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical assisting including taking vital signs and patient histories.
• Ability to document using medical terminology and maintain accurate records.
• Experience with scheduling, registration, and front-desk workflows in a medical office.
• Commitment to high-quality patient care and serving diverse patient needs.
• Ability to maintain privacy and regulatory compliance for medical records.

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients and obtain vital signs and histories.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist with basic clinical procedures.
• Support medical records management and documentation.
• Handle administrative tasks: scheduling, updating patient information, and front-desk workflows.
• Maintain infection control standards and support a safe clinic environment.
