Job summary

Legacy Health-GoHealth Urgent Care seeks a Medical Assistant to assist in examinations and treatment under an urgent care provider. You will manage check-in, interview patients, record vitals, and prepare rooms.

May collect specimens and perform point-of-care tests, while maintaining clean exam spaces and accurate records. Required are a high school diploma and BLS; completion of a medical assisting program is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Front Desk experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance eligibility.
• Process co-pays and schedule patient appointments.
• Coordinate provider referrals to specialists.
• Prepare patients for examination and record medical history.
• Perform point-of-care testing as needed (flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG).
• Maintain medical records and scan charts to patient files.
