Job summary

GoHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, radiologic technologists, and patients. You will assist with patient care management, organization, and communication, contributing to an effortless care experience and a culture of care.

Ideal candidates are graduates of a Medical Assistant program with 1+ year of MA experience under supervision, and a high school diploma. BLS certification is preferred and basic life support is required at hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred.
• 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience under a licensed healthcare supervisor within the last 3 years preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance eligibility.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists.
• Prepare patients for examinations and document medical history.
• Perform vital signs and point-of-care testing as needed.
• Maintain exam rooms and supply inventory.
• Maintain medical records and scan charts.
• Handle daily communications and reception duties.
• Open/close duties including cash handling and security.
