Job summary

American Family Care in the United States is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide general medical care under the direction of a licensed provider in an outpatient clinic setting. This position works directly with a franchised business location and duties can vary by franchise.

You will obtain patient vitals, history, explain procedures, perform lab work, draw blood, prepare exams, administer medications, and maintain accurate documentation. Front desk tasks may be required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• AMT registered and AAMA certifications preferred.
• 1+ year of related experience; urgent care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit; prepare patient for exam.
• Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients.
• Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per approved procedures.
• Draw blood and prepare labs for reference lab processing or in-house processing.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation; front desk duties as needed.
