Job summary

Baptist Health in Highlander Point urgent care is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) for PRN coverage. You will support providers with direct patient care, check in patients, take vital signs, document history, and perform procedures under supervision.

Responsibilities include using EPIC EMR, coordinating with pharmacies, insurers, patients, and physicians, and upholding Baptist's service values. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or MA program graduate and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• MA program graduate with hands-on patient care experience acceptable.
• Basic computer skills and EMR familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check in patients, obtain vital signs and perform medication reconciliation.
• Obtain patient history information and document accurately.
• Navigate EPIC EMR and coordinate with pharmacies, insurers, patients and physicians.
