Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the BHMG Urgent Care Highlander Point location on a PRN basis. The MA coordinates direct patient care and provides clinical support to providers, including checking in patients, taking vital signs, and documenting patient history.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience with direct patient care (vital signs, history, meds) or graduation from an MA program with hands-on practice.
• Must have or be willing to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
• BAT and DOT certifications required for Medical Assistants in Occupational Medicine within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Check in patients, obtain vital signs, reconcile medications.
• Document patient history and medications; assist with clinical procedures.
• Navigate EPIC EMR and coordinate with pharmacies, insurers, patients, and physicians.
