Job summary

Baptist Health BHMG Urgent Care Highlander Point is seeking a PRN Medical Assistant to support providers with direct patient care and clinical tasks. The role includes patient check-in, vital signs, history documentation, and EMR navigation.

Responsibilities span communication with pharmacies, insurers, patients, and physicians while aligning with Baptist Health’s mission and core values. Prior orientation and basic life support are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year MA experience with direct patient care.
• Graduate of accredited MA program with hands-on patient experience.
• Upon hire, MA orientation; may join MA Trainee Program if standards not met.
• Basic computer skills; EMR experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Check in patients, obtain vital signs and perform medication reconciliation.
• Document patient history information.
• Navigate the EPIC EMR system.
• Communicate with pharmacies, insurers, patients and physicians; uphold Baptist Health values.
