Job summary

Delta Health Urgent Care Clinic in Delta, CO is seeking a dependable Medical Assistant to join our on-site team. Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vital signs, assisting providers, and documenting in the EHR.

You may also serve as a medical scribe and perform basic procedures within scope of practice. The ideal candidate will hold CMA or EMT certification (or be within 18 months of hire), BLS, and prior MA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CMA or EMT certification required upon hire or within 18 months.
• RMA certification through AMT preferred.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
• Knowledge of basic clinical and patient-care procedures.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain/document vital signs, medications, and concerns.
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and patient care.
• Document patient histories, procedures, test results, and provider notes in the EHR.
• Serve as a medical scribe when requested.
• Perform blood draws, injections, and wound care within scope.
• Communicate test results, medications, and follow-up care to patients.
• Schedule appointments and diagnostic testing.
• Answer phones and coordinate with patients, providers, and insurers.
• Maintain accurate medical records and protect patient confidentiality.
• Order and maintain supplies and assist with clinic duties.
