Job summary

Delta Health West Elk Clinic is seeking a dependable Medical Assistant to join our team. You will room patients, document vitals, assist with exams, and maintain accurate records in the EHR.

Responsibilities include taking histories, preparing supplies, and communicating with patients and insurance providers. A CMA/EMT or equivalent credential and BLS are required on hire or within 18 months. On-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CMA or EMT certification required or within 18 months of hire.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• RMA certification preferred.
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain/document vital signs, medications, and concerns.
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and patient care.
• Document patient histories, procedures, test results, and notes in the EHR.
• Serve as a medical scribe when requested.
• Perform blood draws and injections within scope of practice.
• Communicate test results, medications, and follow-up care to patients.
• Schedule appointments and diagnostic testing.
• Answer phones and coordinate with patients, providers, and insurance carriers.
