Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year Medical Assistant experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect insurance information.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists.
• Prepare patients for examination by confirming visit details and documenting information.
• Measure and record vital signs including BP, temperature, pulse, height and weight.
• Perform point-of-care testing and communicate results to providers.
• Draw and prepare blood specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepare and stock exam rooms; monitor supplies and inventory levels.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Answer phones and maintain a welcoming reception area.
• Conduct patient follow‑up courtesy calls.
• Perform opening/closing duties including cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation.
