Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant II for Express Care in Weymouth and Pembroke. The role supports clinical and non-clinical patient services under healthcare providers, including vital signs, patient documentation, appointment scheduling, and patient flow management.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting is preferred. BLS and CMA certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree Medical Assisting preferred.
• Direct MA experience or medical field work 1-2 years required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (National Certification) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and document patient information.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
• Explain procedures, medications, and instructions to patients.
• Assist with phlebotomy and specimen processing if competent.
• Support physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff in patient care.
• Maintain immunization inventory and check expiration dates.
