Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care in Ashburn, Virginia, is hiring a Medical Assistant to support clinical and front desk operations, delivering compassionate, efficient care and smooth patient flow across Inova-GoHealth urgent care sites.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, at least 1 year MA experience, and BLS certification; graduation from a Medical Assisting program is preferred. We offer medical/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k) with employer match, PTO, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at time of hire.
• CPOE certification must be obtained within 2 weeks of start date.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect demographic, insurance, and eligibility information.
• Process co-pays and assist with scheduling.
• Prepare patients for examination and document accurately in the medical record.
• Measure and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temp, height, weight).
• Perform point-of-care testing (e.g., flu, strep, urinalysis, EKG, pregnancy testing).
• Draw blood and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms; monitor inventory.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
• Support front desk responsibilities and patient communication.
• Conduct follow-up calls and complete opening/closing duties.
